In the farthest reaches of space , the features of the battle for
humanity as a scarce and dangerous energy known as the Rift.
The colonies of humans called Rifters have been exploring the
"border" of the planets , but find their livelihood threatened by the
marginalized , a ruthless species of humans who have become
psychotic monsters due to exposure to his energy Rift itself .
Caught in the middle is Emmett Graves , a hired gunman isolated
from society because of their own exposure to the Rift energy ,
leaving him partially mutated , but still able to retain their humanity .
Graves is drawn back to its establishment at home to face a
mysterious outlaw and his band of warriors Outcast war .
